Yamina MK Amichai Chikli is refusing to support the budget bills, saying that the budget is “very dangerous.” Particularly the 30-billion shekels to be managed by the Islamist Raam party; for projects in the Arab-Israel sector. Chikli says the money will contribute to “radicalization.” And in the meantime, critics on all sides are also calling out the finance ministry’s plan as taxes disguised as reforms – and they’re claiming that income inequality will skyrocket as a result – with pensioners and lower income populations taking the biggest hits.
